Answer: There are many abilities a Supply Chain Management specialist and professional need to work effectively in the Supply Chain management field.  One is to be able to develop an effect supply chain.  The supply chain should be able to add value to the operation.  Another ability the Supply Chain Management professionals should possess is to be able to coordinate projects and plans set forth by executive management.  The ability to view “the whole picture” instead of just the issues at hand is also important for the Supply Chain Professional.  This means that the Supply Chain Management professional must be able to visualize the long term implications of the decisions being made.
