Answer: The skills needed to be a supply chain professional is organization, strong communication skills, ability to develop and improve processes to create a smooth flow of material and information.  Also the ability to recognize bottlenecks in processes and to recommend improvements to resolve the bottlenecks.  The skills to manage projects, people and suppliers.  A supply chain management professional must be able to be proactive in the attempt to prevent problems from happening.  These problems can sometime be very costly for the organization.  They can sometime cause problems for employee relations, customer relations and the organization’s ability to compete successfully again other companies.
